Agree with Ben here — if Jared simply struck the word 
“design” from “significant design choices” and then reframed the post as something like “everyone has an impact on the design and user experience” the dialogue (and post itself) might be less controversial and arguably click-bait.

It could be argued that others involved in key decisions around an user experience make choices that impact it, but are they “design choices” (intentional, considered, pragmatic)? or simply “choices” (speed to market, cost, personal preference)
