NUETRAL

Let’s get real neutral. This may be the stance we choose to take in political season. BUT when it comes to our lives. This is the absolute DEATHBLOW of moving towards goals.

There’s one area of this that SCARES me more than a lot of other topics. Here it is: Am I aware of parts of me that are stuck in neutral?

If someone was to follow me around for 24 hours, 7 days a week. They would no doubt think I am the weirdest human being on the planet. They would also see areas that I spend very little time or give very little attention. A great example of this would be my JEEP.

MY JEEP has been in our parking garage for a month and a half. It has a dead battery. It would take very little action to get the vehicle jumped, get it to a shop, buy a battery, get an oil change, detail it, and sell it. It would take one day out of my life. Maybe even a half a day. HERE’S THE PROBLEM. I do not give two cents about it. I’m more than content not having a vehicle and splitting the one car we have. It works for us.

That being said, why is this a problem? BECAUSE I’M THE IDIOT PAYING TO INSURE A VEHICLE WHICH HASN’T SEEN THE ROAD IN A MONTH AND A HALF.

The point is, every day that passes is another day the JEEP could be sold. And every day it depreciates a little bit more. Every day I pay to insure it. Every day that I keep myself and the vehicle in neutral.

THE TRUTH IS life is ever so slightly, uphill. It all of our energy and effort in climbing the uphill battle of life is lost when we think we are entitled to coasting. Let’s keep our lives in drive.
