The Internet vs The Real You (RAMBLE)

Every picture, every post, every engagement does not have to be perfect. We live in a culture where every drip of content is a PR release for our personal brand. People in many industries over analyze every single drop of content that there brand is built on a standard that isn’t even remotely real. The fact is reality isn’t perfectly filtered. Reality isn’t polished. We don’t get the chance to write, re-write, and edit every moment of our life in real-time.
How many times have you met someone who is completely different than their online presence?
It’s already beginning to shift with the injection of snapchat.
It’s already beginning to shift with the popularity of LIVE video.
If we could all watch most people post…it involves several drafts. How many times have we posted things and then deleted them because they didn’t get the response we were hoping for?
In the same way that WE as a society have very little trust in a politician. There is starting to be a SHIFT where you will not be able to fake it. Consistency will be king and transparency will be the queen. Those who are who they are will win and everyone else will not make it.
So many people are building companies and brands on polish. Push back and get comfortable being who you are.
Close the gap between “internet you” and “real you.”
