Writing Sucks
I had a piece much longer than this in its original draft. But it became far too pseudo-intellectual about a phenomenon that’s really very simple to explain and/or understand. Writing is a scary process because it allows us to literally see our own thoughts. I think it’s scarier still to allow another person to see that thought, and to judge its worth based on significantly different factors than spoken word.
So it becomes very easy to simply not put any written thought out into the world. Or at least, it has for me. But a good friend gave me no option but to create and use this Medium, so here I am, writing for no other purpose than to write. And that’s weird. But kind of fun. Besides, I might be addressing The Internet, but I sincerely doubt any of y’all give two shits about what’s going on in this neck of the virtual woods, so who cares, amIright?
