When scrolling through the Recommended feed, I’ll often see something that I’ve already read, and my impulse is to leave a comment with my thoughts on it or “like” that the person shared it to give them feedback. Right now there’s no feedback mechanism, and I sort of like it that way — no trying to game the system or sharing “like-bait”. My instinct is that adding either one of those buttons though would be disastrous, but Medium has pulled off commenting in a fairly civilized manner, so maybe it’s possible here too.
