Why did so many of South Australia’s electricity transmission towers collapse?

Over the years I have recycled and scrapped around 15 sets 330kV high voltage power towers. The footings used on this tower are significantly too small, more aking to what you would use for a fence post or a street sign.
In nsw the footings are very deep, with the concrete often being buried below 2 meters of dirt and extending significantly into the ground.
The towers are simply not the correct design for that landscape and possible wind scenario.
That photo tells me all I need to know about the tower design.. cheap shit, cheap install and quick to fail.
And it has SFA to do with Renewables.
