Not All Code Goes to Heaven

Many think the startup life a glorious endeavor. A social network-esk odyssey of adventure, witty dialogue, and mixed success. I have read the books, seen the movies, and sipped the Kool Aide if you will. In fact, I was so sure the startup life was for me that a little over 7 months ago, I began a company with my dear friend Luke, Bee Technologies Inc. Six months later, I helped found a second (which makes me as close as one can be to Elon Musk without being at all successful). This is the story of those endeavors.

In this blog, I wish to tread the line between the “startup life is a living movie” and “startup life is hell.” I will deviate from the opinionated extremes that comprise nearly the entire known literature on entrepreneurship. In effect, I submit to tell the truth, the whole truth, so help me lord. I will release this blog twice a week to show the real life, day to day experience, that is creating something out of nothing. From triumphs to tribulation, you will see what composes my quest to create a unicorn. Ultimately, I and my co-founders hope to someday enter startup heaven and emerge a successful company.

However, as you will soon find out: Not all code goes to heaven.
