Believe it or not, but despite the controversial redesign, Reddit managed to pull it off and, according to Amazons Alexa, overtook Facebook by the number of visitors.

Of course, the first one to announce it was one of the Reddit’s user, known as IamATechieNerd.

Sure, there will be some doubters, since relying on a web traffic analyzing platform isn’t exactly very scientific but it would definitely be interesting to know based on what exact data has Alexa made this conclusion.

There has been some previous data announced, which compared an average daily time spent on each social network and had Reddit leading the chart with 15 minutes and 12 seconds, leaving Facebook far behind, with 10 minutes 15 seconds and YouTube with its “miserable” 8 and a half minutes. The other contestants Google and Amazon displayed equal results — 7 minutes 15 seconds.

These indicators aren’t very good for Facebook, despite Facebook’s steady audience growth by 3.2% per month, they display that some of the active crowd either age or switch to other platforms.

Neither of those things should give Mark Zuckerberg headaches as two of his other major investments grow like crazy (Instagram and WhatsApp).

What do you guys think about the Reddit’s leap? Will it bother the hardcore Reddit fans or make them happy? Who am I kidding, when was the last time you saw anyone of them satisfied? :)
