No one can survive a week without even a drink of water. Combine lack of liquids with Texas heat (yes, it is still hot here in Sept) and you are signing a death sentence. That is why hydration is a must. But, how much is enough? Here is my week of drinks tracked for the first time using the Reporter app (thank you Nicholas Felton).

Here I got rid of the axis and outsourced them to the backside legend. I also mapped alternating glassware to a proportionate grid to make it look like a pattern. It was…

Andriy and Natalie draw data on postcards

During our 10th anniversary trip to Colorado with my wife and the twins, I made record of every elk, moose, trout, and bird I came across. This is the visualization of the wild life I came across during my seven-day trip to Colorado mapped to the specific elevations of the encounters staring from Dallas (500 ft | 150 m) to Denver (5280 ft |…

Traveling to a new place is way better if you meet an old friend there

My travels infographic (above) shows that I have a few major spring boards I travel from: Kiev, UKRAINE (where I was born), Dallas, USA (where I live) and Trivandrum…

Andriy and Natalie draw data on postcards

So, here is what happens when an Infographic Designer and a Healthcare Data Analyst decide to exchange postcards with their data drawings for a whole year to sharpen data visualization skills and entertain their friends in the process.

Andriy is an Infographic Designer in Dallas, TX (USA). This is his City.

I am a very impressionable and easily inspired person. Even so, I don’t always commit to long lasting projects. This project (inspired by the Dear Data) is an exception from the rule. Natalie and I chose “My City” as our first topic. Follow our story to see what we come up with.
