Then let’s work to change this depressing mentality rather than lumping those of us making the same point as you are in with anti-vaxxers and global warming skeptics.

I agree that there is a professional consensus on the efficacy of SSRIs, but we shouldn’t assume that a consensus is always due to rational processes involving objective assessment of the evidence over and above other non rational forces at play. If we’re always bound to agree with a scientific consensus then the paradigm shifts in science would be impossible.

Those of us who have read our Kuhn know better.
