The Beshear/Coleman campaign is announcing the endorsement of the Kentucky Education Association (KEA).

The KEA is the largest professional organization in Kentucky and represents more than 44,000 active, retired, and aspiring educators.

Organizations representing members of Kentucky’s working families continue to unify behind the Beshear/Coleman ticket in recent weeks, including the Kentucky State AFL-CIO, UAW in Kentucky, and the Jefferson County Teachers Association, among other key labor endorsements. Additionally, Beshear made a number of campaign stops in eastern Kentucky alongside Rocky Adkins last week and is set to campaign with Adam Edelen in the coming weeks.

Beshear and Jacqueline Coleman, a teacher and public school assistant principal, met with members of KEA’s leadership on Saturday.

Andy Beshear said, “I’m grateful to have the trust and support of the Kentucky Education Association. While Matt Bevin insults and bullies educators, I care about showing our teachers respect, protecting their pensions, and making public education a top priority. I believe Kentucky has a big, bright future, with more good-paying jobs and opportunities for families to get ahead in every single one of our 120 counties. That’s going to start with public education and means we’re going to bring teachers into our administration as leaders and trusted partners.”
