The Beshear/Coleman campaign is announcing the endorsement of the Kentucky State Building and Construction Trades Council today.

Working families continue to unify behind Andy Beshear’s and Jacqueline Coleman’s vision to lift up working families. In fact, organizations representing workers such as the Kentucky Education Association, the Kentucky State AFL-CIO, and UAW in Kentucky have all recently thrown their support behind the Beshear/Coleman ticket, among other labor unions and organizations.

Beshear campaigned with Rocky Adkins in eastern Kentucky last week and is set to campaign with Adam Edelen in the coming weeks.

Andy Beshear stated: “It’s an honor to have the endorsement of the Kentucky State Building and Construction Trades Council. While Matt Bevin looks out for the special interests, Jacqueline and I care about doing right by Kentucky families. We’re fighting to lift up Kentucky workers by creating more good-paying jobs, lowering the cost of prescription drugs, expanding access to health care, and making public education a top priority.”

“With Andy Beshear as Governor and Jacqueline Coleman as Lt. Governor, Kentucky can turn the page on the continuous assaults on workers. Unlike the current Governor, who is dismissive of the struggles facing working families, Andy understands that our economy is stronger when working families make a living wage,” said William G. Finn, State Director of the Kentucky State Building and Construction Trades Council, in a letter to the Beshear/Coleman campaign. “The members of Kentucky’s construction unions look forward to a brighter future with a Governor who puts Kentucky’s workers first.”
