Today, Andy Beshear is announcing the endorsement of the Kentucky State Fraternal Order of Police, which represents members of law enforcement across the Commonwealth.

As attorney general, Andy Beshear worked with law enforcement officials to triple the number of child sex offenders removed from the streets and clear Kentucky’s rapekit backlog. They also partnered together to combat human trafficking, stop senior scams and battle the drug epidemic, including working with sheriffs to launch the Kentucky Opioid Disposal Program in 2017.

Additionally, Attorney General Andy Beshear and the Kentucky State Fraternal Order of Police worked together to protect public pensions for police officers, as well as other public servants, from Matt Bevin’s illegal cuts.

“I’m grateful to have the trust and support of Kentucky’s Fraternal Order of Police. It’s been an honor to serve as Attorney General and partner with our law enforcement community to combat child abuse and human trafficking, battle the opioid epidemic, stop scammers, and clear Kentucky’s rapekit backlog,” said Andy Beshear. “I was also proud to stand with our first responders and stop Matt Bevin’s illegal cuts to their pensions. I’m committed to fully funding pensions for our law enforcement officials and fighting for policies that will help them get ahead and keep our communities safe.”
