Change of Scenery

Ever feel like you’re completely sucked into the system? Wake up, traffic, work, traffic, home, bed, repeat.

That’s pretty much what everyone is supposed to do. Almost like zombies roaming around without any real path of where they're going. If you’re reading this and are stuck in the loop of what is written above, you need take a step back and rethink your strategy.

When I find myself demotivated and longing for something better, I book a flight to the warmest place I can think of and spend a few days recharging my batteries. I’m writing this as I sit alone on the patio of my hotel in Scottsdale Arizona, where I’ve been for 2 days.

My office today!

Changing scenery gets you out of a stressful environment and allows the mind and soul to think clearly and without consequence.

While you’re on your relaxing getaway, take some time to think about the following questions.

1- Am I happy with my job?

2- Is this what I want to be doing for the rest of my life?

3- What do I love doing? Can I get paid or start a business doing it?

4- Am I doing what everyone expects me to do, or am I doing what I want?

5- Am I afraid to take a risk in order to be happy?

These are only a few of many questions that you should ask yourself on a quarterly basis to make sure that you are the happiest and best version of yourself.

I do this exercise every few weeks and I’m always tweaking things to make my life and myself better!

Try it out.
