But basically, trying to get enough protein a day that’s equivalent to my body weight times .8. That’s one of the general thoughts, at least when it comes to protein. (Some other people vary that amount, but it’s been working great for me.)
Also, in general, you need to calculate your TDEE, and then just eat less calories than that a day. The protein aspect helps you retain and build muscle. As for me, I eat more or less the same handful of meals. I’m quite fine with my meals being boring, because being adventurous and crazy is what allowed me to overeat for so many years.
