Absolutely! I've recently moved to a localization team (with a non-localization background) so to say the office is culturally diverse is a serious understatement! It's fascinating seeing how the different cultures group-up and communicate differently dependent on context, and a real challenge personally to hit the right mark with the right people, but I'm enjoying hte learning process.
