I think one of the biggest changes is the scoring system. A point based system where fans and competitors can, in real time, see who is winning based on actual output and data would make close fights clear but also show fighters that a massive comeback is needed or a KO/sub. Combine wrestling and amateur boxing points systems and instead of having judges you have a third party scoring contractor that scores the bout with actual data. For example: punches are 1 point, takedowns 3, escapes 2, passes to dominant position 2 and then some referee based points: near finish 3–5 points. And institute a purse fine for stalling like Pride did. You have clear scoring based on what they are doing. The data is there to look back and see what each item should be worth to make this legitimate and make it equal for ground and standing.
