Long discussion about this on Radio 4 at 8.20am today (just before David Blunkett appeared as a sports pundit!) where we (well I) learned about the distinction between ‘BBC Good Food’ (staying) and BBC Food (move to trash). Former recipes all ‘triple tested’, latter mostly unedited stuff ‘straight from chefs’…was what I was left with. Really interesting to read the history above, and yes, this is absolutely what the BBC should be all about.

Not made explicit at all (iirc) in the discussion was that this is being ‘deleted’ (or whatever) purely in order that commercial pages containing advertising might appear higher in search results.
