My Andela ALC journey
I have always loved computers, in my early years i could give anything to get time to play games on a computer.

Actually my programming journey started during one of asuu 6 months strike, i was in my year two then, i think 2013 or so, i learnt c++ with some html and css, later went on to learn java-script, PHP and java the next year, well fast forward to 2017, i had settled on being a web developer and was by the side developing android apps.
So on twitter, i saw tweets about the ALC program although i didnt fully understand what it was all about i applied.

Well after a while andela got back to me via email and and also with a task to develop and app showcasing top android developers in lagos state, which i did after which i got a mail of me being selected.

I got selected to be in team 4(androbytes) and we got off to work, I initially combined it with my previous work, so i had to always be awake from 12 am till 3am to make sure i turn in the required weeks task.
Awkward moment
in my quest to learn exciting new things outside the scope of the program, i built a project in kotlin and submitted instead of java, my reviewer replied and said that kotlin was not accepted and i will have to rebuild it in java.

I ended up rebuilding the project in java, but it was a good learning curve
Fun stuffs during the ALC program
I had the opportunity to facilitate the ALC beginners track Awka in their meetups
We completed 3 project(Popular movies 1, popular movies 2 and Baking App) and learnt tons of awesome things along the way(Expresso tests, Loaders, libraries, widgets etc)
And then this

Its been a journey, but a fruitful one at that, thank you andela, google and udacity..
Next stop is to impact and become world class
