Introduction
Welcome to our development update for May 24th, 2022. In our updates, we discuss our progress on all things anetaBTC, including our core wrapping protocol, Aneta Wallet, and more.
anetaBTC
The top priority of the anetaBTC wrapping protocol is the functionality and security of the vaults. This week, our vault team:
- Continued V1 BTC-relay’s ErgoScript implementation of merkle-proof for transaction verification and temporarily moved it off-chain for testing;
- Continued debugging ErgoScript minting and redeeming smart contracts for vault transaction verification and collateral slashing;
- Finished documentation for Ergo node setup, use, and wrapping ABI/API calls;
- Finished Bitcoin functionality for user and vault transactions.
We also completed an analysis comparing Rosen Bridge with Interlay-style BTC-Relay Bridge, and plan to release it in the upcoming week.
Aneta Wallet
For Aneta Wallet, we are finishing the “restore wallet” page along with continuing to test for errors and debug the mobile application. We anticipate the completion of Aneta Wallet for iOS in the coming weeks.
For integrating BTC compatibility into Aneta Wallet, we are in the middle of developing a custom API for calling to Electrum. When this API is complete, the wallet will be able to securely hold ERG and BTC. Following that, we will focus on ADA compatibility to the mobile wallet.
We are also looking to expand our wallet team as we look to build a Cardano and Ergo dApp connector wallet. If this interests you, please email us at info@anetabtc.io.
TosiDrop
TosiDrop is scheduled for mainnet release on Wednesday, May 25th, 2022. From now on, official development updates will come from the TosiDrop Twitter account.
Other Developments
Other developments include mining with anetaBTC, staking NETA and cNETA, and our address association mechanism.
In regard to mining with anetaBTC, implementation is almost ready, and further announcements are expected within the next few weeks.
We also made progress on building infrastructure for staking NETA and cNETA, which we are planning to be ready by the end of June.
In addition to those developments, we recently announced we completed a framework for a decentralized, cross-chain address association mechanism. We are finishing the write-up on this framework and will release it to the public when it is complete.
