1. Introduction
Early last week, we launched the first two opportunities to earn airdropped NETA tokens through the NETA Community Airdrop Fund (CAF).
Additionally, we are excited to release more details of the NETA Community Fund and NETA token allocation.
2. NETA Token Allocation — Part One
There will be a total of 2,000,000,000 NETA tokens minted.
Of these two billion NETA tokens, 5% will be allocated for the Community Airdrop Fund, which equals a total of 100,000,000 NETA that will be distributed to the community.
We will announce our entire tokenomics in the coming weeks including the total distribution to the public, team, and advisors.
3. NETA Community Airdrop Fund (CAF)
The 100,000,000 NETA tokens will be distributed among five categories: Discord, Telegram, Project Catalyst, NFTs, and Miscellaneous.
Discord: 12,500,000 NETA, or 12.5% of Community Airdrop Fund
Telegram: 12,500,000 NETA, or 12.5% of Community Airdrop Fund
Project Catalyst: 10,000,000 NETA, or 10% of Community Airdrop Fund
NFTs: 1,000,000 NETA, or 1% of Community Airdrop Fund
Miscellaneous: 64,000,000 NETA, or 64% of Community Airdrop Fund
Discord
A total of 12,500,000 NETA can potentially be distributed to community members that join our Discord.
The 12,500,000 NETA will be distributed in 5 tiers.
- The first 500 community members to join our Discord will split 500,000 NETA…or 1,000 NETA to each member.
- The first 750 community members to join our Discord will split 1,000,000 NETA…or 1,333 NETA to each member.
- The first 1,000 community members to join our Discord will split 2,000,000 NETA…or 2,000 NETA to each member.
- The first 1,250 community members to join our Discord will split 3,000,000 NETA…or 2,400 NETA to each member.
- The first 1,500 community members to join our Discord will split 6,000,000 NETA…or 4,000 NETA to each member.
This means the original 500 community members are on pace to earn 10,733 NETA, while the people who join us in the last tier before 1,500 members will earn 4,000 NETA.
In the future, other forms of Discord participation will be rewarded through Miscellaneous campaigns that will be announced as we progress.
Telegram
A total of 12,500,000 NETA can potentially be distributed to community members that join our Telegram.
The 12,500,000 NETA will be distributed in 5 tiers.
- The first 500 community members to join our Telegram will split 500,000 NETA…or 1,000 NETA to each member.
- The first 750 community members to join our Telegram will split 1,000,000 NETA…or 1,333 NETA to each member.
- The first 1,000 community members to join our Telegram will split 2,000,000 NETA…or 2,000 NETA to each member.
- The first 1,250 community members to join our Telegram will split 3,000,000 NETA…or 2,400 NETA to each member.
- The first 1,500 community members to join our Telegram will split 6,000,000 NETA…or 4,000 NETA to each member.
This means the original 500 community members are on pace to earn 10,733 NETA, while the people who join us in the last tier before 1,500 members will earn 4,000 NETA.
In the future, other forms of Telegram participation will be rewarded through Miscellaneous campaigns that will be announced as we progress.
Community members can join both Telegram and Discord to receive both airdrops. This means community members who join both channels before 500 members can receive up to 21,466 NETA, while community members that join the last tier on both Discord and Telegram will receive 8,000 NETA.
Project Catalyst
A total of 10,000,000 NETA will be distributed between the two Project Catalyst events. The first event has concluded and will account for 10% of the two Project Catalyst events.
This means the ~200 people that supported us on Project Catalyst last week will each be airdropped around 5,000 NETA. The final number of participants is being finalized and will be released in the near future.
The second Project Catalyst airdrop event will occur during the voting stage, which begins January 13th, 2022. This means 9,000,000 NETA will be distributed to the community from this participation event. Information on the eligibility parameters for this event will be announced in a later update.
Incremental Token Distribution (ITD)
Last week, we launched our first event of eleven NFT Giveaways. We will mint two NFTs for each giveaway, one on Ergo and one on Cardano, meaning there will be 22 total winners.
We are happy to announce each of these 22 NFTs will be distributed through a mechanism called the Incremental Token Distribution (ITD).
A total of 1,100,000 NETA will be distributed to community members from the Community Airdrop Fund, split between the 22 winners and holders of the NFTs.
This means the holders of these NFTs will each be distributed a total of 50,000 NETA.
The 50,000 NETA, however, will be distributed in even increments of 10,000 NETA on five different occasions throughout 2022. Our planned distribution for the Incremental Token Distribution is as follows:
- March: Airdrop 10,000 NETA to each holder of the 22 NFTs
- May: 10,000 NETA to each holder of the 22 NFTs
- July: 10,000 NETA to each holder of the 22 NFTs
- September: 10,000 NETA to each holder of the 22 NFTs
- November: 10,000 NETA to each holder of the 22 NFTs
We are planning to airdrop the first 10,000 NETA in March followed by four other occasions in May, July, September, and November.
Community members may hold their NFT until 2022 and be airdropped the entire 50,000 NETA, or they may sell or gift it to anyone else, and the new holder of the NFT will receive future distributions.
Example of NETA Incremental Token Distribution (ITD)
For example, if Bob won 1 of the 22 NFTs and decided to hold his NFT until August, he would have received the three monthly distributions that took place in March, May, and July, a total of 30,000 NETA. While Bob now has 30,000 NETA, he decides to sell his NFT to Alice.
Alice, who now holds the NFT, decides to hold the NFT through November. She will receive the final two distributions scheduled for September and November, a total of 20,000 NETA.
We hope our early and long-term supporters are incentivized to hold these NFTs until the end of 2022. Whoever wins these NFTs, however, is entitled to freely use their Incremental Token Distribution NFT as they wish.
The current timeline to distribute the Incremental Distribution Token NFTs is in January 2022, followed by the first 10,000 NETA being airdropped to community members who hold the ITD NFTs in March 2022.
The two winners of the first NFT giveaway will be announced later this week.
Miscellaneous
The Community Airdrop Fund will award an additional 64,000,000 NETA to community members in the future.
This will be distributed for additional community participation such as supporting Discord, Twitter, Telegram, and other community-oriented platforms in various ways.
4. Next Steps
We will continue updating our community. In the coming weeks, we will announce an airdrop distribution timeline and more NETA token allocation details. We will also include our mechanism for airdropping NETA to the community.
5. Announcements
- Our Community Airdrop Fund is live!
- The first 500 community members to join our Discord and Telegram can each be airdropped over 10,000 NETA.
- Each of the 22 winners of the NFT Giveaways can earn up to 50,000 NETA by holding their NFT until December 2022.
- The final number of eligible participants who commented on the first Project Catalyst proposal appears to be approximately 200. The final number is being calculated, but it appears each eligible community member will earn approximately 5,000 NETA.
- The second Project Catalyst airdrop event is scheduled to begin on January 13th, 2022, where an additional 9,000,000 NETA will be airdropped to community members.
- We will announce our first partnerships and advisors in the coming weeks!
