We’re Fighting for Top 4, Not Relegation…
Liverpool’s 2016/17 campaign has been very exciting to some, and very regular to other fans that some started a Klopp Out campaign so early into his second season with the club.
Some criticize him for his lack of transfers, but as one fan puts it, and he’s got every right to criticize the doubters:
Comparing Klopp to Rodgers is unfair, Klopp took on a side of youngsters and (sorry for this) some old mates who had nothing more to prove. Rodgers took on a side with Suarez, Sturridge, Sterling, Gerrard, and Agger, and I think it’s fair to say, he’s only building his squad to fill the void after most of them left. Coutinho is great but he’s still young, Lallana and Lovren both have developed immensely under Jurgen, Hendo is ending up to be a great captain you can actually see us suffering in midfield when he’s missing, Firmino is only developing to be a CF since he was regularly played at an attacking midfield position at Hoffenheim. And with 5 transfers in, Matip has been a rock, Mane, oh what an influential man and how much we’ve missed him while he was at AFCON, and despite his late debut goal, we’re not having to wait too long between one goal and another for him to score, yes it’s Wijnaldum, one solid performance after the other,
It’s time to give Klopp time…
It’s time for fans to realize we won’t be title challengers until we give him the time he needs to build the squad he needs to compete with. You want him to pull a Dortmund success at LFC, then you have to know it took him 2 full seasons before he started being a contender. Since his arrival at Anfield, Klopp has taken us with the same squad to 2 finals, of which one we had a real chance at winning against Manchester City.
We’ll be winning, but we have to remain believers, we have to stop thinking Rodgers did the same or not, cracking numbers won’t help, football is not played on paper it happens on a ground with lots of people backing their manager, players, club, and city, and so far Klopp has been working for all of those to maintain this club a successful one and a non-bankrupt one, we were close to being one not that long ago, remember? Keep in mind that Klopp is failing at winning the league this season, but he’s not failing at keeping us in the Premier League and giving us a real shot on the European level, with half the cost of what others from England paid for it.
