Her style of music is what catch the attention of record label Hyperdub with whom she is working for three years now.

Her second album Oh no! brings again the quality of her debut, Pull My Hair Back, of 2013 that was Polar Music Prize-nominated. Lanza pleasure her fans one more time because of a new album with a stunning production, her expressive voice and her personal mix of rhytms.

Although she is known as a solo artist she insists that Jeremy Greenspan is as important as she is in her project. Greenspan, one of the two members of Junior Boys, Canadian electropop group, also helped Jeesy Lanza with her first disc which gave profit to both of them.

Lanza was born in the Canadian port city of Hamilton in 1985 and grew up playing piano and clarinet thanks to her father who filled the family basement with synths, drum machines and mixing consoles. She also studied jazz in the University of Concordia but learnt by herself how to produce music. An inspiring background that influences her style and exceptional music.

During this 2016 Tour, Jessy Lanza is spending months across Europe and North America and will stop in Hasselt on 8th November in the Muziekdroom Box.
