What programming language should you learn first?
Quincy Larson

I’m learning JavaScript at work and it’s been a nice — but bumpy — ride.

Working in the news industry, time is of the essence, so many times we prefer libraries like jQuery to make development faster. But, on the other hand, I don’t feel I’m learning much JavaScript.

It’s like having a car and using it for a lot of things, like turning up the lights, making noise, storing clothes, listening to music and the ocasional sleeping. But driving? I don’t know how to drive.

I hope my path can get better with time and, as all those articles said, JavaScript seems a little overwhelming right now.
