Boring Is Risky

Seth Godin is one of my marketing idols. He wrote the book “Purple Cow”, which I think everyone should read even if you’re not a marketing guy. This book influenced me to always strive to be remarkable. (I am currently reading it again in PDF since someone borrowed my physical book and never returned it)

He emphasized in the book the importance of standing out, being remarkable.

Creating not just an alternative product but something that disrupts the industry

Also, being remarkable is hard work. Everyone will criticize you or your product. But that is a signal that you are making something remarkable.

One characteristic of a remarkable person, idea or product is that it is not for everyone. Otherwise, you must think twice. You might already be invincible. They just don’t care anymore.
