Something from the future, created in the past, people call it an Artificial Intelligence

Introducing Dolores, much more beautiful than SIRI

An exceptionally beautiful maid. She had a shapely figure, with a glossy skin and slender eyebrows. Her eyelashes were velvety. Her hair was sunrise-gold. Her enticing, constellation-blue eyes gazed at the sky wide.

Dolores is a fictional character from Westworld, an HBO science fiction western thriller television series. The series is about high intelligence people that trying to build a hyper realistic role playing game in form of technologically advanced theme park that populated by robots, androids, or artificial intelligence. When a high-paying guests could do everything they wish, indulge their wildest desire without worrying about punishment and retaliation.

Westworld seems to be a lunatic dream but right now entrepreneurs, futurists and geeks are really doing it. They are in a race making a bot that can handle complex conversation, a steel hand-like machinery that can assembly a Ferarri and a robot that could be your bride.

In the end of the series, Dolores is truly conscious, she fight back for the guests that torture, abuse, and victimize these robots endlessly is a form of slavery at best.

This means she has created beings that have the ability to outperform us / the guests and surpass us if they can truly be artificially intelligent.

No Fear Shakespeare: Romeo and Juliet: Act 2, Scene 6
“In an age when AI threatens to become widespread, humans would be useless, so there’s a need to merge with machines.” according to Elon Musk

Even Elon Musk Can’t Explain it

Artificial intelligence is a field that really dynamic and broad. Usually defined as the science of mimicking human/living creatures intelligence and programming them into machines. But not all activities that human or living creatures did considered as an intelligent action, there is still no exact line between what does and doesn’t count as “intelligence”.

The Turing Test and The Imitation Game

One of the best movie I’ve ever watched, The Imitation Game, introduced me to an exceptionally brilliant mind and a noted computer scientist, Alan Turing. The turing test was developed in 1950 by Alan Turing, as a way of deciding whether a machine or computer could be considered intelligent.

The test is carried out as a sort of imitation game. On one side of a computer screen sits a human judge, whose job is to chat to some mysterious interlocutors on the other side. Most of those interlocutors will be humans and one will be a chatbot, created for the sole purpose of tricking the judge into thinking that it is the real human.

A chatbot called Eugene, passed the test, make it the most humanly robot that people ever coded. The machines passed if more than 30% of the judges thought that they were human, Eugene had 33%.

So, Do We Really Need to Merge with Machine?

“There are people who believe that if the machines are more intelligent than we are, then they should just have the planet and we should go away,”
“Then there are people who say, ‘Well, we’ll upload ourselves into the machines, so we’ll still have consciousness but we’ll be machines”

This is not something we need to be worried about.

Because by having to pretend to be human, they are prevented from being more than human.
