As with many people who talk to God often you find that He does indeed speak back if you put enough effort into the relationship to hear His voice. So many times on my journey, God tells me that something is coming. And because I, as many of us do, want God to perform on my timeline when it doesn’t come in a time frame that I expect I become impatient and frustrated.
Psalm 40:1 says: “I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.”
God requires us all to wait. But what are we doing in the waiting period? Are we constantly checking to see if it’s coming?
Are we constantly reminding God of what He promises to us? Are we putting off living because we are waiting for something or someone?
What we do in our waiting period can significantly affect how we live our life. If we spend all of our time looking for what God has already promised we’re not taking the necessary steps to prepare for the gift we are going to receive. God requires us to have faith. You have to believe in your heart that God’s got you! He doesn’t need to be micromanaged for your blessings to flow. Your time is coming.
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seeks him (Hebrews 11:6)
I challenge you to live without worrying. There are no shortcuts to the dream God promised. You have to do the work up front. There are no back alleys to shorten the journey. If God has promised it to you know that it is indeed coming. Live your life preparing your mind, spirit, and space for it. Thank God for all of the things that He does every day. Maybe they go unnoticed and don’t seem significant in your grand scheme but God continuously and constantly blesses us every day. Don’t forget to say thank you. Gratefulness and preparation will help you cultivate a space in your life that can sustain the gifts once God gives them to you.
Let Us Pray
Help my spirit to be still.
Help me to trust in You without any doubts and know that whatever You have for me is for me. Worrying will not speed up the process and the only way to be fulfilled is to have faith and trust in Your timing.
God help my spirit to not be anxious but to be grateful of all of the things You do without me having to ask, even when I don’t deserve it.
In Jesus’ name I pray,
