Quizlet is a mobile and web-based study application. It was created by Andrew Sutherland in October 2005 and started releasing to public in January 2007. In quizlet, they have many games and tests to help their users easily learn what they put on the platform. Moreover, their users often take full advantage of the flashcards to put the definition for their class to memorize. Until August 2017, Quizlet has more than 20 millon active leaners and over 160 million user-generated flashcad sets.
They currently have 6 types of study modes: Flash cards, Gravity, Learn, Long-term Learning, Speller, Match.
Flash cards
In this mode, users use the card for each term and it is similar to the paper flash card, but this is the electronic version for that. Users can click to flip over the card and see the definition for each term they put the term on.
Gravity
In this study mode, definition scroll down vertically in the shape of asteroids and the users must type the term that match with the definition before it arrives to the bottom. The users can pick the level of difficulty, for each of difficulty level, the speed would be faster and the term would be longer so the users have to think faster to match.
Learn
Learn study mode will quiz you with different type of questions such as flashcards, true or false, multiple choice and written. The users can also customize their learn study mode by selecting to answer with term or definition or choosing the question types. For written question, by typing in an answer and pressing Enter, Quizlet can check that you answer it wrong or right.
Long-term Learning
Long-term learning is to remind you to study at regular intervals. They will automatically repeat the question more frequently so you can see them more regular to easily understand the term and memorize the definition.
Speller
Using spell let you type what you hear to practice your spelling. This is very useful when learning a new language or improving our pronunciation skills in your own language . Spellers have total 18 different languages so you can use them for many kind of language you want to improve. Spell will read a term or definition to you and you must type in the correct spelling to finish the game.
Match
This study mode let you match the term and definition as quickly as possible and you can challenge your classmates by racing for the top score. When you select the button and the clock starts, you have to drag the terms to their definition. When you match all the definition, Quizlet will record your score and show your position on the board.

I spent 2 hours to put all the definition and key terms that i need to remember for the EID100 midterm test and it make me feel very comfortable and effective because i can read it from many platform such as my laptop, my phone, or even my computer at my school. After entering the terms and definitions that i want, Quizlet then took these terms and offered me with many study mode that i listed above.
