Exploring 100 Artists’ Styles with AI: A Midjourney Experiment
Artificial intelligence (AI) has opened up intriguing possibilities for art and creativity. In an exciting project, lets explore how the AI art generator Midjourney could recreate and blend the styles of 100 different artists.
Introduction to Midjourney
For those unfamiliar, Midjourney is an AI system that creates images from text descriptions. It’s at the forefront of AI-based art. This experiment specifically uses Midjourney version 5.2.
The Experiment
To showcase Midjourney’s versatility across artistic styles. We'll choose a 9:16 aspect ratio and seed prompt for a fair consistent comparison. No extra descriptive words were used in prompts due to uncertainty around Midjourney’s language comprehension.
The experiment features 3 distinct subject matters for each artist. Interestingly, when no specific subject was provided besides “portrait”, Midjourney often incorporated aspects of the artist’s style and likeness.
