Freddie Mercury, a legendary singer even on his deathbed. We are the Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody, and another one bites the dust. When we lost Freddie, we lost everything. I’m a teen who only heard of him. All the great legends get talked about even when they die. A saying comes from this: Real men don’t die even if they’re killed. Freddie was my inspiration. As a singer, I have no talent and luckily….no aspirations. When I go online to search up his performances, they’re so vivid and beautiful. Someone called me a queer before for listening to him.
My friends and I were talking about favorite songs and whatnot. I said “Queen is God”. And, one of my “friends” called me {censored word}. This is wrong. If Ariana Grande was lesbian, would you hate her, be a bigot to her, and say her songs sucks solely for that reason?
How to fix this.
Gender and sexuality should never enter the conversation.
When a woman is faced with sexism from workers and other locations, they shouldn’t run a ad or presentation on how to deal with members of the opposite sex. They should run a presentation on how you should ignore a person’s gender in the workplace.
I don’t want gender to be discussed at a workplace. A other friend named, Trinity, loosely said this to me:
People will always see females differently than males. It’s just how the world works and probably nothing will change that. If I had to have an opinion though, I would say gender doesn’t matter. What I mean is that gender doesn’t define a person, if someone’s a female that doesn’t mean they are any worse or better than a male. Men and women can do the same things, they can both be good at sports, they can both be intelligent, they can both raise a baby and so on and so forth. A gender is just something for love and/or reproduction, this shouldn’t matter in a work environment or public places. Everyone should just set a side genders, someone being a certain gender does not give anyone the right to put that person down.
My friend, Trinity, was right. Although I disagree on one thing, we should acknowledge smart women in a heavily-male dominated career. I will acknowledge the female coder in a room full of males.
Freddie was my inspiration. He didn’t take shit from anyone. He sang like he was performing live. Give up, you fucking idiots. I will acknowledge and congratulate the gay singer for standing up to idiots like my “once” friend.
