In this article we’ll cover how the game economy for ANIMO STARS ARENA works, what type of items are available, and how to obtain them. We will also go over the Battle Pass and how it rewards players.
To start off we will split up the items into two main categories
- Gameplay Items (Mech Parts): All parts that have in-game stats or have an effect in-game.
- Cosmetic Items: Items that only affect the player character visually and have no impact on gameplay (pilots and paint themes).
The infographic below illustrates a brief flow of how the different items go through the economy during a season.
Forge
Our main focus with gameplay parts is to provide a variety of balanced items to min/max your mech build, optimized for your preference of gameplay style.
With this consideration we wanted to avoid a scenario where the parts market became pay-to-win, so we created the Forge. Through it we will enable the minting of parts for gameplay items.
This ensures an easy onboarding experience for new users while avoiding pay-to-win. Additionally, parts will also have a burn mechanic for players to receive ⅓ of the cost back.
Battle Pass
Players who hold of 1 or more NFTs from the ETH collection will enjoy extra benefits through a Battle Pass.
Holders will be able to exclusively mint new cosmetic content at the start of each season for a limited time.
Those who choose not to mint can still get that new content. Level up your Battle Pass during the season by playing any of the available game modes online to earn those rewards!
Tier Upgrades
We want players to not only modify their ANIMO Mechs, but also boost their cosmetics’ rarity tier.
The forge also offers a burn mechanic that allows you to burn 10x* pilots or paint themes from the same Tier AND the same Season to obtain a random item of the next tier up.
This ensures that older items will decrease in supply and increase in rarity, even the lower tier ones. Careful not to make any pilots extinct!
