PlayFaction(Social Media for Gamers)

Gaming industry has skyrocketed over the last decade. The number of gamers will only go up in the coming years. Our project is basically a social media platform which is especially for gamers. Gamers can sign up with information like what games and genre of games they play and hence they can get suggestions of like-minded players from all across the world. People can post their clips, show in-game achievements and also join their friends to play a game and do not have to solo queue ever again. Through this platform people would be able to even connect with randoms they meet during games and interact with them more. We’re looking towards integration with different games in future so that people would know who is playing what in real time. People can form communities on this and promote their events online. There would be different forums made by communities for different games.

I frequently play games on my computer and I do like competitive shooters and the thrill I get while playing. There is a lot of brain power used in competitive games and when I do something extraordinary, I feel an urge to share it with all my friends but I always feel there is not a single platform where I can share it and get viewers who would appreciate the kind of content. I feel all gamers go through this and do need a platform where they can share their gaming achievements and be appreciated for it in the community. There are many social media platforms available that people use in their day to day life like instagram, facebook etc. We are always welcome to share gaming experience on these platforms but it is generally not done.This is because most of our followers and friends on these platforms consist of non-gamers who cannot appreciate content related to gaming. Our website provides gamers with a platform where they can share anything they want related to games without facing this problem. They will be able to find and make new friends with the best thing they have in common which is playing games. Using this a person will be able to separate their gaming life from his non-gaming life.

Over the years, it has happened many times when we wanted to share clips of our games with each other but lack an exclusive platform was a deterrent. So we have changed the way we share our clips many times. Even though more than one third of earth’s population play games, there is no social media platform that is dedicated to them. Ours will be a social media platform solely for gamers who will appreciate the gaming content.
