I’ve often seen that entrenched IT has concerns with cloud which are genuine from their point of view. For example, most organisations hold IT responsible for Information Security and compliance to standards such as BS 27001. Shadow IT will not go through these processes and is a nightmare for traditional IT. What a lot of vendors/partners fail to communicate is that it’s possible to use cloud in line with internal IT processes of new infra deployments with pre-hardened AMIs and standard templates like service catalog (AWS) and so on.
