A Hilltop view, Jakhoo Hills By Anisha Mohanty

“On the onset of the rising sun beneath the jumping clouds, I could hear the whirling motion of river water. The air was so chilly and calm, as I could hear my own heart racing. This view through my eyes was magnanimous. I wish I paused the moment, my breath and just get laid in the arms of Mother Nature.”

Welcome, to Queen of Seven Hills, Shimla.

Shimla was built on top of seven hills: Inverarm Hill, Observatory Hill, Prospect Hill, Summer Hill, Bantony Hill, Elysium Hill, and Jakhoo Hill. The highest point in Shimla is the Jakhoo hill, which is at a height of 2,454 meters. The green patches of Shimla have pine, deodar, oak, and rhododendron trees.
