To The ‘Cosmopolitan’ Editors Who Offered Cancer As Diet Advice
Your Fat Friend

I’m appalled that cosmopolitan promoted cancer as a weight loss method.

In 2001 I was 16 when my maternal grandpa died from complications of cancer. In 2004 I lost a mentor to cancer. In 2013 it was friend who died. In February this year I lost my mother-in-law to breast cancer that was detected early.

Promoting cancer as a weight loss method is irresponsible. Cancer needs to be treated and treated earlier the better. There’s women out there who would refuse treatment if they thought they would loose weight.
