台北長安西路上的古老豆漿店

在台北的早上,有時我會到附近的街坊食店,叫一客30元台幣的九層塔蛋餅,然後坐在店外桌椅,一邊吃熱騰騰的餅,一邊翻閱上手食客留下的日報。又或多走幾步,鑽進那間人頭湧湧的古老豆漿店,吃一個甜豆漿配油條簡餐。

然而回香港後,想再隨意找到簡單廉宜的街頭吃食,卻是萬分困難的。

譬如一個沒有任何餡料、又香又軟的芝麻豬仔包吧。若到各間知名連鎖麵包店裡去找,通常是找不到的。因為這些店只賣外表和餡料皆花俏萬分的麵包款式。紅豆吉士抹茶忌廉椰絲芝士竹炭沙律醬等等,以不同組合裝飾著包的裡裡外外,閃閃發亮得叫人迷亂眼花,甜膩油肥得叫人未吃先飽。樸素的舊款麵包如咸豬、甜餐,幾乎已在連鎖店絕跡,菠蘿則必定塞了滿滿的餡。

我明明想要簡單的,但這號稱「購物天堂」的城市,卻老逼著我買複雜的。
