For whatsapp you have to get the permission of whatsapp_business_management and whatsapp_business_messaging.
whatsapp_business_management:
The whatsapp_business_management permission allows your app to read and/or manage WhatsApp business assets you own or have been granted access to by other businesses through this permission. These business assets include WhatsApp business accounts, phone numbers, message templates, QR codes and their associated messages, and webhook subscriptions.
whatsapp_business_messaging:
The whatsapp_business_messaging permission allows an app to send WhatsApp messages to a specific phone number, upload and retrieve media from messages, manage and get WhatsApp business profile information, and to register those phone numbers with Meta.
Add Permission:
On the left side bar go to App Review>permissions and features.
Click Request Advanced Access for each permission, then click Continue the Request.
App Verification:
Step 1 of the review is done. Now go the the requests in the sidebar and click. It will lead to the varification page.
Fill the form as per needed. The most important part is Platform Settings section. You have to provide detail information of your app in which you are going to integrate whatsapp.
- First provide the test login user and password if it has not your personal meta or any other account.
- Write each step carefully why and how you are going to use whatsapp. It helps to avoid the rejection if did’t match the policy.
- At last, create a small gif video that shows the step clearly. You can you crome extension called Awesome ChatGPT Screenshot & Screen Recorder if you are using crome.
Note: It will be helpful and reduce the chance of rejection if your app is using whatsapp for user oriented service.
