The importance of Intellect in human beings

God created this universe.

The animals as well as the human beings have the life force within them. They all can breathe, eat, reproduce, see, hear, feel and smell too.

What distinguishes them from each other? The human beings are endowed with the intellect, entrusted with the capability of reasoning. They know what is right and wrong, what is good and what evil.

We know what to do and what not, but still so many of us many a times attempt to do what we must not. Then, we are not making the correct use of our intellect and our reasoning is faulty. If so, then we are also behaving like cats and dogs.

The animals are shitting here and there polluting the environment. What are few of us doing? The same thing…. Urinating on the road sides! Where has our civic sense gone? Is it not important to maintain cleanliness? Most of the people do not even use the dust bins to throw the garbage.

When a person does not use his intellect, his whole life only revolves around acquisition and enjoyment. Such people do not live for any higher cause for which we have taken birth. The attempt only to acquire and enjoy more is not giving them any anticipated happiness. The acquisition is not important, but ones character is.

How many crimes, robberies and terrorism is increasing because of bad character and wrong value system.

We should expand our awareness to include higher ideas and noble thoughts and work for the upliftment of the world.
