Pollution outside is reflection of pollution inside.
We have always worried since our childhood about this one thing called pollution. It is indeed a subject of concern because our basic necessities of breathing, drinking and eating get affected by it. Fresh air, fresh water and fresh food have become like a dream for us. And this dream looks like unachievable the way we are dealing with it.
What is the root cause of any kind of pollution?
Externally we can say many thing like increased population, consumerism, industry, burning of fossil fuels, transportation etc. but these are not the actual root cause of pollution, it is our inner pollution of greed, envy, lust and laziness which are actually responsible. People who do not carry any carry bag and ask for polybag from the shopkeeper, vehicle owner do not upgrade/repair their vehicle to save the extra money unless there is a PUC check by police. Industries without the proper treatment dump their unprocessed waste into the river to save the cost of treatment because in front of money, rivers and aquatic life do not have any value.
Industries want to earn profit and for that they do not care about any thing whether it is environment, morality, rules and laws. They just care about profit. Not only industries but almost every individual nowadays just care about profit. And they pretend to be very busy and they do not have any time to think about all this stuff. And the collective result these so many profit making minds is now in front of all of us.
The Earth is big enough to hold and feed all of the population, but do you know why Elon Musk is working hard to establish a colony on Mars? Because it is easy to establish a colony on Mars than to convince the people of the Earth to live a zero waste and pollution free life.
