Having gone to school (masters) for Innovation & Product Development, I am able to see the contrast between high school education and ‘think tank’ type education. This thought around having students look at problems and find opportunities with the education system can be immensely beneficial to the way they think. I can imagine a ‘challenge’ that begins with students taking interviews of each other, leading all the way upto a winning incremental update to the system, whether it be creating an app or a signboard. There’s empowerment in understanding that whether you’re 12 or 21, you can make a choice in thinking with empathy, thereby laying the groundwork for innovative thinking. Hope I didn’t ramble, enjoyed this conversation series.
