The beginning theory
A Liberal Humanist approach to work is more of a ethnic or moral standing rather than a systematic one they give more importance to morals
Peter Barry says the following about this topic “ Two things stand out in their approach: firstly, this kind of reading is driven (ultimately) by its moral convictions (laudable in themselves, of course) rather than by any model of what constitutes a systematic approach to literary criticism. The second notable aspect of it is that it seems to by-pass matters of form, structure, genre and so on, and launches straight into the discussion of matters of content.”
He also comments that even though structure, symbol , design and structure is not ignored they are secondary in nature and they are more docused on the morals as other things are secondary.
