Depressing statistics say that in a few decades, humanity will especially feel the shortage of drinking water. Today we can at any time make a drinking water order just under the door of our house. But a few years later, the senseless waste of it in our life can lead to the fact that subsequent generations will consider water drop by drop. But saving water in our hands the possibility to preserve the primary source of all life on Earth, for this it is enough to remember and follow a few simple rules.

Just imagine, by following these ten rules, you can save more than one lake in a year!

1. Do you have faulty plumbing? Fix or replace any dripping faucets immediately. It would seem, what does it matter? However, only one day a faulty tap can squander 30 to 200 liters of water.

2. Turn off the tap while you brush your teeth, shave, or perform other hygiene procedures. So you will save 6–15 liters of water per minute. After all, to clean your teeth, you only need one glass.

3. Place the lever mixers on the water. Thus, you can wait for the required temperature faster than, for example, a mixer with two taps.

4. Do you like to soak in a warm bath? No, we do not urge you to completely deny yourself comfort. Just recommend at least alternating taking a bath with a toning shower. After all, a much smaller amount of water is expended on the shower.

5. A simple double draining system in the toilet will save up to 10,000 liters of water per person per year.

6. Rinse the laundry is best in the washing machine, and not under running water. This is the most efficient method to conserve water, as modern “washing machines” are programmed for maximum efficiency with the greatest economy.

7. Housewives note — while washing dishes do not keep the faucet permanently open. Separately rinse the washed dishes in the sink with clean water. So you not only reduce the flow of water several times but also save money on household chemicals.

8. If you use a dishwasher, we recommend that you turn it on only when fully loaded.

9. If you defrost food under the stream of water, it is best to abandon such a habit. You not only waste H2O but also spoil the quality of products. Get everything you need in advance from the freezer — let the defrost process be natural.

10. Today, with the help of individual aerator nozzles, you can not only save water but also own funds. The flow rate is reduced by adding air to the jet, as a result of which the head becomes stronger, while the liquid flows less.
