I agree that this is totally different for bi men than for bi women, which I couldn’t fully explore…

Thanks for responding Casey Quinlan — very well said, particularly what you pointed out about the sexualization of bi women, which can certainly be just as negative (and dangerous) as the erasure/“feminization” of bi men’s experiences.

It’s true that there ought to be more research, but I do think you’re making a world of difference by writing this kind of article (which we really don’t see enough) and starting conversations like these. Research and stats are helpful, but writing/reading/speaking/listening is how stigmas really get torn down, I think. So I guess what I’m saying is keep up the good work (& congrats on your piece getting featured)! :)
