I always ask about my friend’s kids and I like seeing pictures of them because I like to see my friends happy while they’re talking about them. There’s a difference between including kids and pregnancy in a conversation from time to time and having it dominate the conversation when you haven’t inquired and not every woman want to put their hands on a pregnant belly or have a baby pushed into their arms. Some women don’t realize that. There’s got to be room for women to have a range of experiences and feelings about motherhood — with other women especially.
