I love this article. Now I am beginning to understand why I have always LOVED that deep deep deep old barn red, the one in your first picture. I grew up in Sweden were it is, or was, by far the most common house color, with white trim. That particular color vibrates so deeply in me that I almost faint from joyous fulfillment.
