Day 47 — TED

Today, I watched a TED talk on my smartphone (a guilty pleasure here) and had a personal revelation.

In the afternoon, I met a Canadian from Vancouver who was soon going on the same trek I had been on. She was travelling for 6 months and told me she used to be a nun. I asked about it and she told me that it was a long story but that she had a life-changing experience during university when she got back in touch with religion. After talking about the trek and telling her what I would’ve done (or packed!) differently, we exchanged local phone numbers. In the evening, I went out for dinner with Becca and her parents who treated me to dinner in lakeside. I had a delicious grilled chicken, some mojitos, and a brownie with ice cream. It was definitely a treat.
