When we think about all of our favorite Disney movies, we must remember that none of them would have been possible if it weren’t for the first Disney Princess. “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” was the first-ever full-length animated feature film, marking a significant milestone in cinema history when it came out in 1937. Many people in the film industry thought the idea of a full-length feature that was animated was frankly ridiculous and would fail at the box office. Little did they know how successful it would make Walt Disney. To make this masterpiece, Walt Disney had to risk his studio and his money. It truly was a turning point in his career that launched him and the company to where it is today. In the spring of 1934, Walt Disney got together with his animators and started to discuss the construction of his first-ever full-length animated feature.

The fairy tale “Snow White” by the Brothers Grimm was first published in 1812. It appeared in the first edition of their collection “Grimm’s Fairy Tales,” also known as “Kinder- und Hausmärchen” in German.
