The Dishrag
by Alexandra Morozov
. . .
The dishrag sits on the counter
Catching no one’s eye
Many won’t care and ignore it
Casually passing it by
It works so hard, and yet
It’s not even hung to dry
. . .
It polishes the teapot
Who sits on the shelf, proud and tall
But that’s only thanks to the dishrag
Who sits on the counter, limp and small
. . .

This is a continuation of Connie’s poem “The Dish Rag” from the radio drama Adventures in Odyssey.
