I think grocery shopping in any environment you aren’t used to can feel like an ordeal. I moved from Kansas to New York City a year ago and found the crowded supermarkets here to be extremely stressful and often was frustrated at the lack of options. I actually commute 20–30 minutes to a larger Aldi’s to avoid the supermarkets in my area which are pricey, small, and overwhelmingly busy.
During my 6 months in Austira, I also found the grocery experience to be difficult at points- it’s hard to bag your own groceries and count out foreign coins as quickly as the attendants may like.
