I personally know people who have benefited immensely from Obamacare, people who probably would have died otherwise. The disability community is small, and word gets around.

Obviously there are some major issues with the system, but most of them are a result of Republican gutting of the original legislation. The full bill would have been even more beneficial to Americans, since it provided a governmental alternative insurance plan that would have put market pressure on companies to improve their offerings.

This is a program that needs to be enhanced, not done away with, or there will be deaths- just like there will be deaths if a Republican congress destroys Medicaid and Medicare.

If America truly cannot provide for disabled and elderly citizens, perhaps it should stop calling itself a first world country until it can catch up with the rest of the world.
